The Wind in the Willows — A Winter Evening at Mr. Badger’s(1000-piece puzzle)

This puzzle is more than a winter scene — it’s a small way to step inside a favourite childhood story.

Above ground, snow settles over the Wild Wood. Beneath the roots, a fire is burning, the kettle is warm, and Mr Badger has room for two unexpected guests.

Inspired by Kenneth Grahame’s *The Wind in the Willows*, this detailed illustration brings Mole and Ratty’s winter visit to life through connected rooms and moments to discover.

Follow the footprints to the green door, where Badger welcomes his weary friends inside. Snow still clings to their coats, but the hardest part of the evening is over.

A familiar face and an open door can make all the difference.

**Pull Up a Chair by the Fire**

At the supper table, cups are filled and conversation begins. Damp coats hang nearby while the three friends settle beside the glowing hearth.

Look for the blue scarf, the kettle and the reading chair tucked beside the bookshelves — little signs of a home made comfortable.

**Breakfast Below the Wild Wood**

By morning, Mole and Ratty are busy in the kitchen. Copper pans hang above the stove, bread waits on the table, and two young hedgehogs sit ready for breakfast.

From the patterned china to the food on each plate, this is a corner worth taking your time over.

**A Home Full of Small Discoveries**

Explore shelves of winter provisions, lantern-lit stone passages and a quiet bedroom with two neatly made beds.

The cutaway view lets you wander through Badger’s home, piecing together its rooms as the story moves from a snowy arrival to a peaceful morning.

**An Evening to Look Forward To**

Put the kettle on, leave your phone aside and spend a little time in the Wild Wood.

A thoughtful gift for readers who remember Mole, Ratty and Badger — or anyone who loves woodland animals, cosy interiors and a puzzle with a story to explore.
